植松美月の個展「さゆらぎ」を開催します。展覧会日程は、2025年6月6日（金）から6月22日（日）です。aaploitで開催した「月に浮かぶ、」に続く植松美月の三度目の個展です。
本展覧会では、薄葉紙という繊細な素材を通して、存在の根源に迫ります。細く切り裂かれた紙片は一度きりの「呼吸」として現れ、そこに染み込むインクは色彩の分離という不可逆的な現象を見せてくれます。切ることも、染めることも不可逆的に素材を変化させます。どのような形や色が表れるかはアーティストの制御を離れていますが、現代社会においては自身が制御できることは数少ないのかもしれません。
切断という破壊的行為と染色という創造的行為が一つの平面上で共存し、互いを高め合う関係を築いています。 切り裂かれた薄葉紙は風によってゆらゆらと揺れ動き、固定された形を持たない流動的な存在として空間に立ち現れます。この繊細な揺らぎこそが本展覧会の本質であり、決して静止することのない永続的な運動性を持っています。
空間に広がる薄葉紙の揺らめきは、作家の意図としての切り、素材を遊ばせる染め、そして空間で動く形、これらの存在が現れる可能性を持つ豊かな場所として「さゆらぎ」をご覧いただきます。 本展は、儚さと永続性、破壊と創造、静と動といった相反する要素が織りなす揺らぎの世界へと観る者を誘います。風に揺れる紙の呼吸と鑑賞者の呼吸が共鳴する静謐な空間をお楽しみください。

Mizuki Uematsu Solo Exhibition “Sayuragi (さゆらぎ)”
We are pleased to present Mizuki Uematsu’s solo exhibition “Sayuragi (さゆらぎ).” The exhibition will run from Friday, June 6 to Sunday, June 22, 2025. This marks Uematsu’s third solo exhibition, following “Floating on the Moon,” which was held at aaploit.
This exhibition delves into the essence of existence through the delicate medium of thin Japanese paper (usuyōshi). The finely lacerated paper fragments emerge as singular “breaths,” while the ink that permeates them reveals the irreversible phenomenon of chromatic separation. Both the acts of cutting and dyeing irreversibly transform the material. Although the resulting forms and colors transcend the artist’s control, perhaps in contemporary society, there are few things that one can control about oneself.
The destructive act of laceration and the generative act of dyeing coexist on a single plane, establishing a symbiotic relationship that elevates each other. The severed thin paper undulates with the air currents, manifesting in the space as a fluid entity devoid of fixed form. This subtle oscillation—this “sayuragi”—constitutes the quintessence of the exhibition, embodying a perpetual kinetic quality that never reaches stasis.
The tremulous expanse of thin Japanese paper invites viewers to experience “Sayuragi” as a fertile domain where multiple possibilities converge: the artist’s intentional cuts, the playful dyeing of materials, and the dynamic forms that animate the space. The exhibition beckons viewers into a realm of fluctuation where dichotomous elements—ephemerality and permanence, destruction and creation, stillness and motion—interweave. Immerse yourself in this tranquil space where the respiration of wind-swept paper resonates with the breath of the observer.

About “Sayuragi”
The exhibition title “Sayuragi” (さゆらぎ) is a nuanced Japanese neologism that combines “sa” (さ), a prefix that can indicate delicacy or gentleness, with “yuragi” (ゆらぎ), meaning fluctuation or oscillation. This hybrid term encapsulates the ephemeral trembling of existence—a state of perpetual, subtle movement that never fully settles. In scientific contexts, “yuragi” can refer to fluctuations within complex systems or the unpredictable oscillations observed in natural phenomena. In aesthetics, it evokes the Japanese concept of “utsuroi” (移ろい)—the beauty found in impermanence and transition. “Sayuragi” thus poetically frames the exhibition as an exploration of delicate transitions between states of being, the liminal spaces where destruction and creation intertwine, and the beauty inherent in transience itself.
