            "松田菜優子は、ステイン技法を基底とする絵画を制作する。布に色が染み込む過程をコントロールしながら、画面に色彩が及ぶ領域とそうでない領域を分節し、絵画と素地のあいだの境界を、画面内のモチーフ間の関係と同じ強度で扱う。植物、人物、風景は一体化しつつも、わずかに異なる存在として画面に佇み、視線は要素のあいだを移動しながら、自らの解釈を組み立てる。",
