また、「Surface Drawing」シリーズは、デジタル時代における視覚表現の新たな可能性を探求している。それは現実の単なる記録ではなく、デジタル技術を通じて再構成された現実の新たな表現形態を示しており、この点で大越の作品はデイヴィッド・ホックニーが提唱した「絵画の知識」の概念[2]を想起させる。ホックニーが絵画における視覚の構築を論じたように、大越はデジタル技術を用いて視覚経験の再構築を試みている。

It is not merely a record of reality but demonstrates new forms of expression of reality reconstructed through digital technology. In this respect, Okoshi’s work evokes David Hockney’s concept of “pictorial knowledge”[2]. Just as Hockney discussed the construction of vision in painting, Okoshi attempts to reconstruct visual experience using digital technology.

Okoshi’s work is not merely a technological experiment but an important cultural exploration that deeply examines the role and impact of technology in contemporary society.
